Customer Reviews

This is a great scooter with great customer service. I actually was going to return it because I thought it was a bit short (14 years old) but my daughter loved it so well learned how to position her feet just right demonstrating that it actually was perfect. she didn’t want to send it back. The color was perfect it was not so pink that it was annoying to her not neon, not faded, just a perfect color to her. My thought was kids grow fast, I should probably send it back, but it’s still going strong. It’s true to color pretty accurate for size and I love the way it hooks up just like in the picture to carry. It steers very well. If your child is on the smaller side of 14 (as mine is) I would say you can still get it…if they are a little taller or their feet are more size 7 and up (adult size shoe) it might be a little bit difficult to utilize. Before I got this, there was a larger boy in a video that really made me feel like the scooter was longer than it actually is; I won’t say that was false advertising because of course it came from a customer so it was real. I think he’s using it in the way that it works for him (even though he might be a little larger than the recommended size & a little older than the recommended age) the same way my daughter is. It’s not that hard for them to learn how to angle it and use it well. I would say typical age range of this would be about 6 to 12; 14–16 if your child is more like under 4 foot 11 has smaller feet as I said above. Overall she loves it. Again about the customer service: I contacted them after I had been in the hospital and it was very near the deadline or just past the return deadline and they were willing to work with me on a return and so I think that’s just excellent customer service. Nowadays people are just like ‘you’re stuck it’s on you’ and that’s not what I got. So great Customer Service that actually turned out not to be needed. Try it out, it’s a good bit of fun, and isn’t it so much better to have kids having a blast outside in the fresh air then sitting down in the house? Enjoy! (^.^)

This review is about 2 things. First, the scooter is great and our daughter loves it. Perfect for her age and size. Second, great customer service! I sent an email to the address on a card they include in the box after my daughter’s kickstand snapped. Was pretty disappointed after only a couple weeks of use. Pleasantly surprised when they got back to me the same day. Not only that, but with a resolution. Sent me a new kickstand assembly (all the way from China i believe) and i received it with 10 days. Easy to swap out. Customer service is not a strong point for most companies these days. Very impressed with theirs.

Customer Reviews

I first purchased this scooter two years ago, right before Christmas of my freshman year of college. A junior now, I recently purchased another scooter after losing my first scooter on campus. If I hadn’t lost the scooter, I would’ve still been using the same scooter for over two years, and even with all the stress I put on it (I’m not the most careful with my things), it was still working just fine, which speaks to the durability of this product. I will say that this is hands down the best purchase I have made in college. The amount of time that this thing has saved me is tremendous. If I’m running late for class or a meeting, I grab this thing and I’m there in a few minutes. Not only is it a huge timesaver, but it’s so much fun too. Sometimes I take this to class even when I’m not running late just so I can experience the thrill of going downhill from my classrooms. I don’t have very good balance, so this scooter is perfect for me, as it has a break on the back which makes me feel much safer. I wanted to learn to use a skateboard but my balance just wasn’t letting me do it. A lot of the college athletes on my campus use the larger A5, but I think the A3 is the perfect size for me (I’m 5′ 5 and 123 pounds). If you’re worried about this not being able to hold your weight, it can definitely hold much heavier than it says it can. I’ve had friends from the football team who are 200 pounds on this without a problem. I’d say if you’re above 5′ 8 to go for a larger A5, but if you’re anywhere below that, the A3 will be perfect. I highly recommend this scooter to every college kid looking to save time or just have fun while zooming to class. There may be some haters but who cares??? They’re just jealous.

I guess the fact that we bought a second one after our first got stolen says enough for my opinion about this scooter, but here are some more details why I am giving 5 stars:- So well made! Although there is a maximum rider weight limit, both my husband and I have used it many times and it is still in one piece and works perfectly!- It can last for many many years. My older daughter has it for years now.- The red wheels are so cool but more importantly large enough so you can easily and without any problems go over rough pavement, or some small obstacles on your way.- Very stable! My younger daughter is using a three wheel scooter for now but she already tried this one and it turned out it wasn’t more difficult to ride. To sum up, very sturdy, high quality and cool. Worth the buy!

We bought Envy Scooters Prodigy X Street Pro Scooter for our 9 year old (~55lbs) who loves street and park scootering. He goes hard and puts a lot of miles on his scooter. High quality product. He loves it, uses it almost daily. We had some issues initially with loose handlebars/forks, but gravity group (supplier) was responsive and quick to help. No judgement or questioning, quick and helpful service. Would buy from again.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Scooter For Wheelies

Essential Factors We Consider

When picking the best scooter for wheelies, we look at a few key things. First up is durability – you need a scooter that can handle the impact of popping up and potentially landing hard. Next, weight distribution and balance are crucial. A well-balanced scooter makes it easier to lift the front wheel and keep it stable. We also consider the grip on the handlebars and the deck; good grip means better control. Finally, the size and weight of the scooter matter – a lighter, more maneuverable scooter is generally better for learning tricks.

Budget Planning

Scooters for wheelies can range quite a bit in price. You can find decent entry-level options that are great for learning, like the Envy Scooters COLT Trick Scooter, which won’t break the bank. If you’re looking for something more robust with advanced features, expect to spend a bit more on a pro-level scooter like the Envy Scooters Prodigy X Street. Remember, investing a bit more upfront in a quality scooter can save you money in the long run by lasting longer and offering a better learning experience. Always check for deals and compare prices before buying!

Final Thoughts

Choosing the right scooter is the first step to mastering wheelies. Don’t forget that practice is key! Start slow, find a safe, open space, and be patient with yourself. Remember to wear protective gear, like a helmet and pads, especially when you’re starting out. With the right scooter and dedication, you’ll be pulling off awesome wheelies in no time!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes a scooter good for wheelies?

A: A good scooter for wheelies needs to be durable, well-balanced, and have good grip on the handlebars and deck. It should also be relatively lightweight and maneuverable to make lifting the front wheel easier and maintaining control.

Q: Is it hard to learn wheelies on a scooter?

A: Learning wheelies takes practice and patience. It’s easier to learn on a scooter designed for tricks, but with consistent effort and the right technique, most people can learn to do them.

Q: Do I need a special trick scooter for wheelies?

A: While you can attempt wheelies on many scooters, a dedicated trick scooter is highly recommended. They are built stronger and designed for the stresses of stunt riding, making the learning process safer and more effective.

Q: How can I stay safe while learning to wheelie?

A: Always wear a helmet, knee pads, and elbow pads. Practice in a safe, open area away from traffic and obstacles. Start with small lifts and gradually increase the height and duration as you gain confidence and control.

Q: What’s the difference between a kick scooter and a trick scooter for wheelies?

A: Kick scooters are generally designed for commuting or casual riding and might not be strong enough for stunts. Trick scooters are built with reinforced frames, stronger components, and better grip to withstand the demands of tricks like wheelies, jumps, and grinds.

So there you have it! We’ve explored some of the best scooters for wheelies, from beginner-friendly options to pro-level machines. Remember, picking the right scooter is just the beginning. Consistent practice, safety gear, and a positive attitude are your best allies. Ready to lift that front wheel and roll? Go grab one of these awesome scooters and start your wheelie journey!
