Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I bought these for running, and they are perfect! They have some heft/weight to them, so they don’t flop around your face while running. Polarized makes a huge difference, helps see cracks/elevation shifts in the ground/dirt/pavement, helps limit injury. Comes with a quality carrying/storage case, not just a lil bag, but a nice hard shell case. Large lenses cover a lot of your face, not just your eyes, so wind, dirt, bugs don’t get nowhere near your eyes. My running speed/pace/route is 2 miles after my workouts, which takes me 14 minutes. EASILY BEST pair of running glasses I ever used, and for only $25….couldn’t recommend them more!”

Customer Review: “Perfect!!! Light weight and fitted to your face. Perfect for running.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “These are my glasses I wear all the time. I have several pairs and when they Break or get too scratched, I just buy another one. I wish they came with replacement lenses, because you can’t Polish out scratches. Still, they’re reasonable enough, I just buy one pair every year or two. These have been around for a while and Unlike No name Amazon brands that come and go, these are reliable, always available and sometimes on sale. I Keep an extra couple pairs on hand And I’ve always been happy with the Performance and quality of these sunglasses.”

Customer Review: “Best sunglasses for the money. I have Oakleys, Costa’s, and Maui Jim – all great glasses but at 10 % of the cost, they’re equal quality. I bought one pair and tried them out. I had to replace lens in my Oakley’s – $63. These glass are less than $25 a pair. I bought two more sets of these and it’s cheaper than buying replacement lens for my higher end sun glasses. Polarization and fit are as good as the fancy pants glasses. As tough as I am on sunglasses, these will be my go to from now on.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I purchased the KastKing FlatRock Polarized Sport Sunglasses for an upcoming cruise to the Bahamas and a fishing trip. I specifically needed blue mirror lenses for better visibility on the water, a comfortable and secure fit, and a good price—these sunglasses deliver on all fronts. The polarization is solid, cutting glare effectively while enhancing colors, making them ideal for fishing, boating, and general outdoor use. The lightweight frame is comfortable enough for all-day wear, and they stay put even during movement—no annoying slipping down the nose. I also considered Knockaround sunglasses, which I’ve used before, but I’m glad I went with the FlatRock style. The design works well with my long face and angular features, providing both a stylish and functional fit. For the price, these are an excellent alternative to more expensive polarized sunglasses, and they don’t feel cheap. If you need reliable eye protection for driving, fishing, cycling, or any outdoor adventure, these are a solid pick.”

Customer Review: “I may have to try a KastKing spinning reel after wearing these (Normally a Penn guy) because the quality of these sunglasses is that excellent. Let’s start with what’s obvious; the looks. First, there’s no mistaking these for cheap, off-the-rack shades. KastKing is clearly employing a higher-end manufacturing process to produce these, and at least for me this size is perfect. I want full coverage for my eyes (beach – surf fishing), and to me a lot of frames on the market appear to have been designed with a smaller head in mind. These are not like that. They’re large enough to cover my eyes without being too big. They’re also not “cat-like” which for my taste makes them more wearable. Next thing has to be the weight. Really wow. They’re amazingly light. I can barely tell that I’m wearing them, and I love that they are pliable, a definite plus. Polarization, check ✔️. Mirror lens, check ✔️. Eye-soothing tint, ✔️. Comes with a great case, ✔️ Affordable price, ✔️. Seriously, I may just have to try out that spinning reel, but whatever the case I’m definitely a fan of the sunglasses. So much so, in fact, that I think I’ll get a pair for my wife, too. KastKing, please take a bow. 👍”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “These glasses arrived quickly and the first thing I noticed was how well packaged they were. Inside a standard, but strong cardboard box was the attractive and sturdy box which housed the product. Double the protection to keep the product safe and the inside packaging looking attractive for yourself, but especially if you were buying the product as a gift for someone else. Once I opened the main packaging, the first impression and thought I had was, “This is quality!” The company took the time and put forth the effort to do much more than put the sunglasses in an empty box and to let them rattle around in there. Instead, the sunglasses were carefully wrapped in their own protective covering as was the high quality protective case that I didn’t even know that came with the sun glasses. It’s a stylish, hard shell case with a soft interior to protect the sunglasses anywhere you go. It’s well designed in and out. It has a not only a very nice zipper, but it also has a strong, plastic clip so you could attach the case to your belt loop, or any loop inside or outside a purse, backpack, or anything else. But, that’s not all. Along with the sunglasses are two, very soft cleaning cloths that won’t scratch the glasses at all. The cloths will easily fit into the carrying case so you have them with you wherever you go. Also included is extremely nice lanyard to connect to the glasses behind you head or around the back of your neck so they never fall or slide off your face and hit the ground. This was a great touch and unexpected. Instructions come with the sunglasses about different color lenses and what they do for your eyes and vision in case you plan to buy other pairs. And, there’s a fun drawing of someone fishing, but until you put the sunglasses on, you can’t see the hidden part of picture, which shows you how much you may be missing from sun glare and shadows when your eyes aren’t fully protected from harmful UV rays. These sunglasses provide full protection against everything that can harm your eyes when out in the sun. And, I liked how the fit up against the sides of my face/eyes keeping them protected from wind, dust, sun from the side, and much more. The arms of the glasses fit snug without being tight and uncomfortable. The look sleek and stylish. I’m so glad I bought these. I usually read everything about a product before I buy it, but this time I just liked the look of the glasses and the cost, so I had no idea of all the extras that were included for free. It was like getting a gift that keeps giving, such as when someone gives you a backpack for a present, but they’ve gone several steps further by filling it with lots of of fun. This product was cool and fun by itself, but the extras just made it extra special. An excellent value and a wonderful purchase. I highly recommend this affordable set!”

Customer Review: “So far I have had these sunglasses for about a month and I love them. I am pretty hard on my glasses, ( I have gone through 3 pair this year) but so far these have held up well. I personally like the wrap around feel and these fit my head quite well even when wearing a hat. Other sunglasses I have had in the past had such long ear pieces that they would push on my hat meaning that I had to adjust one or the other to get them to fit comfortably. That hasn’t been the case with these. They also stay on my head quite well. The rubber tips grip my head really well without squeezing and giving me a headache. Even without a hat on these sit snugly and I don’t have to worry about them falling off which has been a problem with others. In addition these sunglasses are great for being outdoor all day. I work on a golf course so my eyes fatigue from being in the sun all day. The polarized lenses have been great and block out just enough light to let me see when in the shade or down into holes that I’m digging. The only problem I have had with these glasses is more of just something that I didn’t expect. By now I have gotten used to it but there are small ridges on the underside of the earpieces where the rubber is. I believe that is one of the reasons that they hold onto my head so well but right out of the gate it felt a little funny when putting them on or off. I put them on/take them off many times a day so this is something I had to get used to. It hasn’t caused any soreness or anything so not really a problem which is why I didn’t take any stars off. Just something to get used to. All in all, if you need a cheaper pair of sunglasses these are great. Like I said, I have had many pairs including Oakley’s, Fossil, Iron Man, and many other brands. My Oakley’s were my all time favorite but so far these aren’t far behind. If my opinion changes I will update my review but for now. I’m a fan.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What makes polarized sunglasses better for cycling?

A: Polarized sunglasses are better for cycling because they significantly reduce glare from surfaces like roads, water, and car windshields. This glare can be distracting and even impair vision, especially in bright sunlight or when riding on wet surfaces. By cutting through this glare, polarized lenses offer clearer vision, reduce eye strain, and improve contrast, making it easier to see road hazards and enjoy the scenery.

Q: Are all sunglasses with UV protection polarized?

A: No, UV protection and polarization are two different features. UV protection refers to the sunglasses’ ability to block harmful ultraviolet rays, while polarization is a treatment applied to the lens that reduces glare. You can find sunglasses with UV protection that are not polarized, and vice versa, though most quality cycling sunglasses will offer both.

Q: How do I know if my sunglasses are polarized?

A: You can test for polarization in a few ways. The easiest is to look at another pair of polarized sunglasses or an LCD screen (like a phone screen or computer monitor) through your sunglasses and rotate them. If the screen appears dark or black when you rotate the sunglasses, they are polarized. You can also often see a difference in glare reduction when looking at reflective surfaces outdoors.

Q: Can I wear regular sunglasses for cycling?

A: While regular sunglasses can offer UV protection, they typically lack the glare-reducing capabilities of polarized lenses. For cycling, especially in varying light conditions or on roads with reflective surfaces, polarized sunglasses provide a superior visual experience and can enhance safety. Additionally, cycling-specific sunglasses often have frames designed to stay secure and work with helmets.

Q: What does UV400 protection mean?

A: UV400 protection means the lenses block light rays with wavelengths up to 400 nanometers. This effectively blocks all harmful UVA and UVB rays, which are known to cause long-term damage to your eyes, such as cataracts and macular degeneration. It’s a standard measure for ensuring comprehensive UV protection.

Don’t let glare and discomfort spoil your ride. With our guide to the best polarized cycling sunglasses under $50, you’re well-equipped to find a pair that offers great performance without straining your wallet. Whether you’re hitting the road for a long tour or enjoying a casual spin, investing in quality eye protection is key. Explore these top picks and make sure your eyes are protected on every adventure.
