I recently bought this helmet and after using it for about a month, I can definitely say this is a product worth buying. The price might seem steep, but this is one of the only bike helmets out there right now certified for class 3 e-bike speeds of up to 28mph. Regular bike helmets are only good for 15 mph speeds, so you’re basically paying for double the protection with this helmet. You also get added features that most helmets don’t come with, like front and rear lights for visibility at night, a rear tightening mechanism for a more secure fit, a removable visor to keep the sun out your eyes, and a very well made magnetic latch for easy attachment and removal. The bike also has great ventilation which kept me cool and less sweaty during those hotter days.Another great thing about this helmet is how comfortable it is to wear. There’s soft padding on the inside so you don’t feel the hard surface squeezing your head like other helmets. The padding is also removable for washing which is very convenient, especially if you sweat a lot. My favorite thing about the helmet though, and one of the main reasons I bought it, was how light it was. This helmet weighs less than a pound!! When riding with it, I hardly ever feel like I’m even wearing a helmet, which is surprising given how much protection its supposed to offer. If you look at something with similar protection like a motorcycle helmet, those are bulky and can weigh anywhere from 5-8 pounds. When riding with something that heavy on your head, you definitely feel that weight, and it isn’t as comfortable. The look of the helmet is also pretty modern and stylish. It makes me feel more inclined to wear it since it doesn’t make my head look big or goofy whenever I go out.Overall though, this bike helmet is a very good buy. I couldn’t find a single complaint to give. Not only are you paying for solid protection, but you’re also getting a high quality product made from high quality materials. Nothing on this helmet feels cheap or out of place for its price, you’re for sure getting what you payed for and will not regret getting this helmet. There’s also a sale going on right now, so it’s a perfect time to get it if you’re worried about the price.The last thing I’ll touch on though is the customer service and this company as a whole. I’ve genuinely never met a company so dedicated and willing to accommodate its customers like this company has done.When I first got my helmet, it didn’t fit my head quite right so I got into contact with the company and they helped me out tremendously!! The owner of the company, Benjamin, got back to me and offered to replace my helmet free of charge for one of their unreleased X-large versions!! This was honestly very surprising to me and I was super grateful for Bens help. He updated me throughout the whole process and made sure everything was perfect when it arrived, which it was. So if any of you end up having a problem with your helmets or yours ends up getting broken in an accident, make sure to hit up their customer service. Customer Review: My husband had decided that we needed e-bikes. So I started to research the best helmets for an e-bike. I ordered this helmet because it has the NTA8776 rating and it has both a front light and a back light for safety.When my husband received the helmet he was pleasantly surprised by the helmet. He loved the fit, look and he was surprised how light it felt on his head. He said he forgot he even had the helmet on… and that is saying a lot esp. since our bike rides are in the mid morning during the Arizona summer. He has even gotten compliments on his helmet as he was riding around. He tells everyone they should get this helmet and he even tells the local bike shops that they should carry this helmet.He loved his helmet so much, I wanted to get one for myself but my head size is too small for the helmet they currently sell. I reached out to Xnito to find out when they would be releasing the smaller size helmets. The customer service is amazing. These days I have found customer service is seriously lacking with most companies but not this one. They actually care about their customers and encourage feedback. I heard back from someone within a couple hours and they worked hard to get me a smaller size helmet before they are actually available to everyone because I am not that good of a bike rider and I didn’t want to take any chances getting hurt. They kept in contact with me through the whole ordering and receiving of the helmet. They also followed up to make sure everything was good.I have the new small size helmet and it has the magnetic buckle which is pretty cool. It took me a few minutes to figure it out but I’ve got it now. The new helmets also have the type c charging cable. To me this doesn’t really matter, but I know that it important to a lot of people. This is a great helmet. The smaller size helmets will be available soon, I do believe.Now, I haven’t had any accidents to be able to say how it holds up and I hope I never do, but this helmet covers all the important parts of our heads and I do “feel” safer having it on. They also have an accident replacement policy for the helmet if by chance you do get into an accident.Give this helmet a try, I think you will be pleasantly surprised and glad you did.

Customer Review: I few months back after purchase I took a spill on my bike going about 20mph and this helmet definitely did its job in protecting my head. The impact caused some minor scuffing and scraping on the side of the helmet, but the integrity of the helmet remained fully intact.Despite the visible signs of the crash, I’m still very impressed with the quality and durability of this helmet. The outer shell is tough and the padding inside provided excellent shock absorption, preventing any injuries. I’m confident that if I had not been wearing this helmet, the outcome would have been much worse.The fit is also great – it’s comfortable and secure without being overly tight. And for the reasonable price, you really can’t beat the protection and performance of the Retrospec Dakota.While the surface damage is a bit unsightly, I’m still very satisfied with this helmet and plan to continue using it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality helmet for biking, skateboarding, or other action sports. It may have saved me from a serious head injury, seriously.

Customer Review: I was in an accident with my ebike. Launched into street. Broke my wrist and basically messed up my entire left side. ER said if not for helmet I would have had concussion or skull fracture by my injuries. There is not a scratch or suff on this helmet. Paramedics wanted to know about helmet due to its get protection of my head. I highly recommend!!! Also my kids and spent about 2 hours playing with settings in app. This helmet is so cool and you can control from remote or app or set it to auto at start of ride in app.

Customer Review: What a cool idea. I wasn’t really expecting much at this price point, so I was pleasantly surprised. The helmet, even without the screen, is nice. I have a big melon of a head and it still fits well (maybe a little snug). It’s better made than the typical Schwinn stuff you find at the big box stores and it actually looks pretty cool when you wear it. Lots of quality padding inside, which is easily removed for washing. The strap is sturdy and (yay!!!) padded for comfort.As for the screen, it is bigger and brighter than I’d expected, though as others have mentioned, it’s not super-visible in bright daylight. Works great on an overcast day, though. And as far as night use goes, it REALLY makes you more visible to others on the road. The app is easy to understand and programming the graphics is easy. It works flawlessly with the little remote and with the phone app. It’s cool that you can set the helmet for auto mode; the thing automatically signals your left and right turns as soon as you start leaning into the turn. This doesn’t really give drivers much advance notice, but it’s something.Honestly, I can’t think of anything bad to say about this helmet. It looks great in the flat black finish, but I wouldn’t mind if it came in a few colors, too. Not complaining, though. It’s great. Get it before the tariffs kick in and the price shoots up by half.

Customer Review: Very high quality, the Medium size fits perfect, typically like black but went with the highly visible White/Reflective Silver for safety, and overall looks wearing it while riding my e-bike isn’t that bad.Love that it collapses 50% so I can stash it better in a carry bag when not in use, appreciate Amazon listing includes a chart for measuring your head to choose been the Medium & Large size.I have long hair, wear glasses, & usually wear a BT open air headset that also slips around my ears to listen to music while being aware of my surroundings, so the strap can be cumbersome to slip around the ears, but any helmet strap would have the same issues, but having it adjusted ahead of time helps fitting it on when needed.

Customer Review: I love the fit & feel of this helmet. I really love the visor & no having to wear sunglasses with the visor down. I will say that the helmet could use more air vents, as it get pretty hot in warmer temps here in Southern Kentucky. I also had a minor issue with some of the padded strips inside the helmet wanting to come unglued & roll up on me, causing the hard plastic to come in contact with my bare head, but I fixed that with some superglue & now we’re good. I have had the chance to do a night ride yet, so I haven’t gotten to test the lights in that situation yet, but every time I power it up at home, they come on very bright & flashing & I’ve only put one charge to it. The other negative I can list is that the the charge port rubber protective cover doesn’t seat well into the charge port, so I’m not sure if it’ll provide much protection in a rainy situation. Any way…..I’ll still give it 5 stars for now, just because of its functionality, good looks, visor & sturdy feel.

Customer Review: This is a very good helmet. Made very similarly to motorcycle helmets but not as cumbersome. Very light with an appropriately snug fit while being surprisingly comfortable. The straps are well attached with reflective stitching and red safety clasp and fastens securely and easily. I really like the lighting. The white front lite is awesome for looking down at my speedo @ nite and the rear flashers with blinkers is really bright. I purchased the Bluetooth model and my only complaint is the actual usb c jack is so far recessed that most usb plugs I had wouldn’t work. I had to “mod” it a little bit which wasn’t a problem but it should be noted. The sound is fair but I don’t really want imersive audio while riding. Having a visor is great. I’m loving it. Nice change from my Rock Brothers riding glasses. Overall I’m extremely pleased with it and recommend it for ebikers who like to zoom a little bit more than most. (edit 3/5) I love this helmet. I’ve been using it daily for over 4 months and it’s great. Holds up to harsh weather well. The lights have a daylight sensor, nice. The audio is fine. I’ve come to appreciate the overall volume and sound while not drowning out traffic. Now if they only sold visors!
