Customer Reviews
A good option if you have mountain tires on your bike. Other child carriers would not fit my bike. This one was questionable because my bike was just a few inches under the required width. Bought it anyway because this was the only option available for my bike. Fit perfectly, stable, solid, and does the job. However, I did leave off the front handlebar, which is optional, because there wasn’t enough room to attach. It is a tight fit to put together. The seat screws are underneath. It’s doable with some patience. I have had a 1 yr. old and 2 yr. old. Both comfortable and enjoyed the ride. They can see more than if they were in a plastic shell. This is a good option if your bike is hard to fit. The frame is solid. The footrest keeps their feet out of the spokes even tho the picture may look questionable. I’m confident it will hold up thru all the grandchildren.

Actually a very cool product. I was pleasantly surprised. My six year old and I put this together as a project and we had fun doing it. I was worried about the width of my rack on my hey bike because it’s really wide, but it actually worked perfectly. My child is small. He weighs 34 pounds and you can see in the picture that he seems little big for it but it actually works perfect. We went on a 20 mile ride no problem and had a blast!! You know it’s always a little unnerving buying something that you don’t know for sure will work, but I am quite happy with this purchase. I can confidently say this will pretty much work with any bike rack because the hay bike bike rack is really big and that is what I was worried about the most. I did measure it before I bought it and checked all the specs and I knew it should work but you still never know until you see it and try it . We will use the heck out of it. My Kid absolutely loves it and he says it’s really comfortable too. Its also super sturdy so far. Nothing is loose. Don’t OVER-TIGHTEN ! The metal is soft and not made for mega screw and bolt Torquing but we did get everything very tight.I am really happy with it.The video on this amazon add is what we used to assemble for instructions. Just pause it between steps. I posted a screen shot to show how the bottom holding brackets go on for reference.Enjoy it folks.

This front seat is great for my 3-year-old! He loves being able to see everything and I love being able to talk to him. It was a bit tricky to get it perfectly stable on my e-bike, but once it was on, it felt very secure. The padding is nice, and he seems comfortable on our neighborhood rides. It’s a good way to share the biking experience with him before he’s ready for his own ride.
– Engaged Parent
I was looking for a front seat that would fit my commuter bike, and this one worked out well. My daughter is 2 and fits nicely. The footrests are adjustable, which is a plus. The only minor issue was the instructions, which could be clearer. However, with a little common sense, it was manageable. It feels sturdy, and she enjoys the ride. It’s a good investment for short trips.

Customer Reviews
Awesome. I have twin three year olds, one 33 lbs soaking wet, the other 50 lbs. Both enjoyed this bike and fit well. Neither one was going to fall out easily. I bought a bike luggage rack that could hold up to 100lbs to attach this too instead of the one that came on some bikes that only held 10lbs. This is very secure, my kids held on and laughed their heads off. This is good for kids 3 and up, under that they may need more support. You have to be able to pick kid up and get them up in here with their feet, think getting a child in and out of the baby swing at the park.
– Parent of Twins
This is a solid product that is built really well. It fit my lectric XP4 very well while other models weren’t as compatible. The seat was easy to assemble and secures onto the bike very well. It doesn’t move at all. My son loves it and he was really comfortable inside. I also really like the fact that I can also easily turn this seat into a basket that I can haul small items in. It’s a really well thought out design. Solid product!

Customer Reviews
I’m giving this 5 stars because it is one of the few child seats suitable for a toddler over 50lbs. The steel structure is solid. The bolts and nuts that come with it really would benefit from washers, but there are none. The instructions are worse than useless; you really do have to figure out (based on quantity) which screws and nuts go where. You WILL need a vise grip in order to hold the screws through your rack to tighten them with a wrench – the small wrench provided only goes so far in its use. You want your child to be safe on this item so tightest is best (but remember you should probably provide your own washers). Someone from the marketing/packaging department needs to rewrite the instructions – the photos are only so good. There’s probably a youtube video out there but my wife didn’t give me time to find it/watch it because she wanted to get the child seat installed for a ride (I spent probably 3 hours searching/reading reviews to find one that would actually be suitable for a growing toddler). My 3 year old granddaughter is over 50lbs (she’s tall and a bigger kid) and she fits well in this; and she really likes it. We did not install the “extra” safety bar because it probably would have penned her in. I would like to see something like this built better with tighter fitment; but for the price it is what it is. Would I buy it again: yes Would I provide my own washers and nuts/bolts in future: probably yes I’m giving it 5 stars because it works and the child likes it. I feel it is secure on the bicycle but the instructions are almost-the-worst I’ve ever seen.
– Grandpa’s Choice
First Delivery was received with missing parts. Had to wait another week to get a replacement. Then had to go out of my way to return the first order. Instructions were pretty terrible but it’s pretty simple to put together if you watch the product videos. Other than that, The child seat itself is okay. I recommend they make the assembly of the seat to the rear frame of the bike to be more intuitive. You’re likely not going to conveniently take this on and off often. Wish it had a quick connect feature but it makes sense that it doesn’t for this price point.

This seat is pretty good. My daughter fits well in it, and she likes the armrests. The padding is nice and soft. I had a little trouble with the screws for the guardrail, as the instructions mentioned, but managed to get it secured. It feels stable on my e-bike rack. Overall, a decent seat for the price.
– Mom of a Rider
I bought this seat for my grandson. He’s 4 years old and it fits him perfectly. The adjustable width is a great feature as he’s growing quickly. It was a bit of a puzzle to put together, especially the guardrail, but the end result is a very secure seat. He seems very comfortable and enjoys our bike rides together. I’d recommend it for its adjustability and comfort.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the safest type of bike seat for a child?
A: Generally, rear-mounted seats are considered very safe, especially those with a sturdy frame, a secure harness system (like a 5-point harness), and adjustable footrests. Front-mounted seats can also be safe if they have adequate support and your child is within the recommended age and weight limits, and you can easily keep an eye on them.
Q: Can I install a child seat on any electric bike?
A: Most child seats are designed to fit standard bicycle frames or rear racks. However, compatibility can depend on your specific electric bike’s frame design, rack type, and available mounting space. Always check the seat’s compatibility guidelines and your bike’s specifications before purchasing.
Q: What age is appropriate for a child to ride on an electric bike?
A: Most child bike seats are recommended for children aged 1-7 years, or from around 18 months to 7 years, depending on the seat’s design and weight capacity. Children should have good head and neck control. Always adhere to the manufacturer’s age and weight recommendations.
Q: How do I ensure the child seat is installed correctly?
A: Always follow the manufacturer’s installation instructions precisely. Ensure all bolts and clamps are tightened securely, but not overtightened to the point of damaging components. If you’re unsure, consider having a local bike shop help with the installation. Regular checks before each ride are also essential.
Q: Are front or rear child bike seats better for electric bikes?
A: Both have pros and cons. Rear seats often offer more stability and can accommodate heavier children, making them suitable for longer rides. Front seats allow for better interaction and visibility of the child, and can be easier to manage for younger children. The best choice depends on your child’s age, your bike type, and your personal preference for interaction and handling.
Taking your child along on your electric bike adventures can be incredibly rewarding. By choosing one of the best electric bike for kids seat options outlined above, you’re investing in safety, comfort, and shared experiences. Remember to always prioritize proper installation and regular checks to ensure every ride is as secure as it is enjoyable. Happy cycling with your little co-pilot!
