Customer Reviews

Customer Review: I purchased this Eskute bike for my wife this Christmas. It arrived on schedule and assembly was pretty straight forward. I was surprised at the power and was laughing thinking that I just purchased my wife a motorcycle(=. I tested it out and the speed and quality of the bike is solid. The battery pack seems to be robust and the size worked ok for my wife. She is about 5’1″ and could still ride it but it needed to have the seat on the lowest position. The weight of the bike is substantial and she would likely not be able to load it by herself. The oversized tires seem to make for a very smooth ride as well. We went for a ride the other day and she really enjoyed it. On and off trail it seemed to do really well and I feel that it was a good value. Thank you!

Customer Review: The good: So fun to ride. Easy to ride. Easy to learn. The bumps on the pavement are barely felt. It folds up so you can put it in your trunk. It’s powerful. Long battery life. There’s a front light, break light, and a horn. It looks cool. The bad: The assembly instructions are not clear and precise. It’s very heavy. Loading and unloading into the car is difficult. The pedals move during transport and lock into place creating a hassle to get them apart and scratching the bike. All in all, it’s a great bike and I’m glad we bought it.

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: This is a great place to store bikes in the winter months. We don’t have a garage, but this tent fits neatly under our covered parking and keeps the rain and snow off our bikes. We have 3 – 24″ mountain bikes with baskets and back racks in the tent right now and that still leaves plenty of room to add things like 2 razor scooters and helmets.Installation was super easy with my 12-year-old setting it up in less than 10 minutes. It is very light, made out of nylon with fiberglass poles, just like a normal tent. It is about 6 feet tall in the center, making it easy to get the bikes in a out.We do not have the tent anchored as recommended, as it sits on a concrete pad. We had no way to tie it down. So far, the wind has blown it over just once. To be fair though, the storm had wind gusts well over 50mph! The tent stayed together and kept it shape the whole time. It kept the snow and ice off the bikes, but it did fall to its side when one of the bikes fell into the others. The only damage was a small tear in the bottom floor from a kickstand. We’ve repaired that with some nylon rip-stop and a 1″ piece of gorilla tape to reinforce it.We will see how well it survives a Michigan Winter with sub-zero temps and report back in the springtime.

Customer Review: I am so happy that I ordered this. I really needed a storage shed in my backyard, but I’m a renter and didn’t want to build anything permanent. I also don’t have the ability to assemble a resin or metal shed by myself, so this ended up being the perfect solution.First of all, it was easy for a 61-year-old woman to put up by herself. That alone impressed me.Because I live in a rural area, I was concerned about wildlife getting into it, so I added a few precautions (shown in my photos). I laid down a heavy-duty tarp first, then used 1/4-inch hardware cloth along the ground, about 4 inches under the tent and about six inches outward to discourage rabbits or mice from chewing their way in. I also installed a paver floor, which serves two purposes: it keeps the structure from moving in our windstorms and it allows me to put shelving inside without risking damage to the fabric floor. I also set the pavers right up against the bottom edges of the walls so any curious little teeth would meet concrete instead of fabric, and I filled in the gaps you see in the photos with smaller bricks so I had a complete floor. This shed is surprisingly spacious. It easily holds everything I wanted to store, and I still have plenty of room left. After assembling it, I ran a bead of silicone caulk along the sewn seams to improve the water resistance. We’ve already had some serious rainstorms, and the interior has stayed completely dry.I’m also careful with the zippers because I want them to last, and so far they’ve been working well. For my situation, this has been one of the best purchases I’ve made. It solved my storage problem without requiring a permanent structure, and it has worked beautifully.

Complete Buying Guide for Electric Bike For Camping

Essential Factors We Consider

When selecting the best electric bike for camping, several key features determine how well it performs off the beaten path. First, consider the motor power—look for at least 750W for hilly or rugged terrain. Next, evaluate battery capacity; higher voltage (48V+) and larger amp-hours (Ah) mean longer range. Tire type matters too: fat tires (3″ or wider) provide superior grip on sand, snow, and loose gravel. Don’t forget about foldability if you’re traveling light or storing in tight spaces. Finally, check for extras like lights, fenders, and cargo racks that enhance utility during multi-day trips.

Budget Planning

Electric bikes for camping can range from $800 to over $3,000. Entry-level models offer basic performance suitable for casual riders, while premium options include advanced features like suspension, hydraulic brakes, and extended warranties. Remember to factor in accessories such as bike pumps, locks, and protective covers. For most campers, spending between $1,200 and $2,000 yields the best balance of durability, range, and value.

Final Thoughts

Choosing the right electric bike for camping depends on your specific needs—whether it’s power, portability, or affordability. The ESKUTE Fat Tire Folding Bike leads our list for its unbeatable mix of strength and convenience, but the MotoTec Superbike excels in speed and control, and the budget folding model proves you don’t need to spend a fortune. Pair any of these with proper storage like the Happy Travel Shed, and your e-bike will stay protected season after season.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I use an electric bike for daily commuting AND camping?

A: Absolutely! Many electric bikes designed for camping are also excellent for city rides thanks to their smooth pedaling assist and comfortable geometry. Look for models with urban-friendly features like lights, fenders, and rear racks.

Q: How far can an electric bike go on one charge during a camping trip?

A: It varies widely based on terrain, rider weight, and assist level. Most mid-range e-bikes offer 20–55 miles per charge. For extended trips, choose a model with swappable batteries or plan charging stops near trailheads.

Q: Are folding electric bikes sturdy enough for rough trails?

A: Yes, especially those with fat tires and reinforced frames like the ESKUTE and budget folding models. Just avoid extremely technical singletrack unless the bike explicitly lists off-road capability.

Q: Do I need special maintenance for my electric bike while camping?

A: Keep it clean after muddy rides, check tire pressure regularly, and store the battery at room temperature. A simple basic toolkit goes a long way in preventing minor issues from becoming major ones.

Q: Is it legal to ride electric bikes on public forest trails?

A: Laws vary by location. In many U.S. national forests, Class 1 and Class 2 e-bikes (pedal-assist only or throttle under 20 mph) are allowed on designated routes. Always check local regulations before heading out.

Ready to elevate your next camping adventure? An electric bike isn’t just a mode of transport—it’s a gateway to discovering new trails, reducing fatigue on long hikes, and bringing your gear effortlessly to remote spots.
