Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “I’m a big fan of this jacket; well constructed, adjustable and snug fit, looks good and all for an affordable price.Waterproof: I’ve rode several times in the rain now- nothing torrential but enough to test the waterproof ability of it and so far I’ve kept nice and dry.Comfort: I find this jacket really comfortable, it has adjusters at the cuffs, biceps, waist and bottom so you can get a nice tight fit everywhere. I’m 6′ tall, 165lbs (long lean build) and I ordered the small and it fits perfect. I’m also able to wear 2 thermal layers and an insulated vest underneath for the cold, which can be a little bulky but not uncomfortable.Temperature ranges: The waterproof-ness is built into the jacket, meaning there is no waterproof liner to remove. In cooler conditions this is no problem, but anything above 80F will slowly cook you alive, even with all the vents open and the zipper down. Especially if you get off you bike and hike a short distance, you will be literally pouring sweat out of this thing. On the flip side I’ve worn this with the quilted layer, a vest and 2 thermals down into the 30F’s and its kept me warm. Basically- not a summer jacket.Other features: the pockets are generous, only 1 zippered pocket on the inside. Quilted liner has a cellphone pocket which is nice. I think a good upgrade would be to add zippered pockets on the side of the lower front pockets. The vents are ok but then again I’m not entirely sure they do very much, as I think they’re located on the outside of the waterproof layer.Overall: I think this is a great jacket and very affordable considering the quality you’re getting. I look forward to updated versions in the future perhaps with different designs or color options.”

Customer Review: “This jacket fits great and feels very well made. The quality of the material is solid, and it feels durable without being stiff or uncomfortable. The Cordura textile feels like it will hold up well for regular riding. The CE armor is well placed and adds confidence without restricting movement. It’s comfortable on longer rides and looks good both on and off the bike. Overall, this jacket exceeded my expectations for the price.Very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, good-quality motorcycle jacket.”

Customer Reviews

Customer Review: “This is an incomplete review, as I did not get a chance to ride with the jacket as it needed to be returned. I’m 5’10”, 290lbs, and typically comfortably where a 2XL-3XL size tee shirt. The 3XL jacket was very snug across the stomach, and fairly short. Amazon makes returns a piece of cake, so I’ve got a 4XL coming, and hope to have more complete review of that in the coming weeks. Lesson being – if you’re in doubt on size, go big.* * * Update * * * I reordered the jacket in a 4XL size. This was the size I needed, it fits well, and is sufficiently long enough for my long back. The jacket is quite warm, I was comfortable at 55* with no fairing at 70mph, and by the time it was 70* degrees out I was thinking about pulling the inner liner out. I was able to manage temps by opening the vents to get some airflow. That’s perfect to me – it will be warm enough when it’s cool, and not overbearing when it’s hot (with the liner out). The quality seems incredible for the price point, making this jacket an excellent value. I’m sure there are nicer jackets out there, but at 3-5x the cost. The collar closes up nicely, as do the sleeves and waist. I could go for bigger pockets for the size of the huge modern cellphones, but overall no real complaints. For something I full expect to be “in the dirt” with at times, this is exactly what I was looking for.”

Customer Review: “Great quality and great price. I bought this for my son to wear when he rides. He has definitely gotten some good use out of it! It fits great!”

Complete Buying Guide for Best Brand of Dirt Bike

Essential Factors We Consider

When evaluating the best brand of dirt bike, we examine several critical factors including engine performance, build quality, reliability, and after-sales support. Engine power and torque characteristics determine how well the bike handles various terrains and riding styles. Build quality encompasses frame construction, suspension components, and overall finish workmanship. Reliability measures how consistently the bike performs over time with minimal maintenance issues. Finally, strong customer support ensures help is available when needed for repairs or technical questions.

Budget Planning

Establishing a realistic budget early helps narrow your search significantly. Entry-level dirt bikes typically range from $2,000-$4,000, mid-range models cost $4,000-$7,000, while professional competition machines exceed $7,000. Remember to factor in additional expenses like protective gear, maintenance supplies, and potential modifications. While cheaper options may save money upfront, investing in reputable brands often pays dividends through longer lifespan and better resale value.

Final Thoughts

The best brand of dirt bike ultimately depends on your specific needs, experience level, and intended usage. Brands like Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, and KTM consistently rank highly for their balance of performance, reliability, and value. However, newer manufacturers are also making impressive strides in quality and innovation. Always research thoroughly, read owner reviews, and if possible test ride before purchasing to ensure the bike matches your expectations and riding goals.
