“THIS IS THE WORST BUY IVE EVER MADE ON AMAZON!!! Do not buy this bike!! I put it together, filled it up with the proper fuel and the bike cranked up immediately but it has NO POWER! Under the weight of the bike itself it has no pull, it barely inches. My son weights 70 lbs and the bike won’t move with him on it. I’ve looked at the air filter, adjusted the airflow screw, adjusted the idle, adjusted the throttle cable, checked the carburetor, checked chain tension. I’ve done everything to fine tune the bike and still no power! This is a horrible buy I wouldn’t recommend this bike to anyone at all!! Do not waste your time with this purchase I will never buy another from here ever again.”

“5 Stars! My son and I made a video of how the bike has worked out for him so far, we just posted it today on YouTube. The file is too big to upload here. If you search ‘Owen Westlund Mototec X2 110cc’ you should see it.I wanted to get my son a bike, normally i’d find something locally that needs work but we’ve got plenty of projects in the garage already and I didn’t need another. I also wanted a 4 stroke so he wouldn’t have to mix gas (or risk running straight gas through it!) and ideally wanted electric start. We ride ATVs together often, and now bikes. I didn’t want him to stall the bike or foul a plug on a hot day and have to kick it 20 times like the things i grew up on.It was packed very well, and arrived with zero damage or missing parts. That’s sometimes the hardest part about buying these types of things online: When the item weighs over 100 pounds it’s easy for it to get beat up in shipping. We put it together in no time, most of the components only go on one way. If you haven’t put a bike together before, just go slow and you’ll be fine.Throttle cable needed some adjustment, it was holding the bike at a higher RPM than it needed to be. Not a big deal, you’ll have that on most things like this. He’s got about 30 hours on it so far, we’ve driven bikes together quite a bit this summer and it always starts and hasn’t let us down at all! Check out the video we made if you’d like to see how it looks and how it runs, we’ve got some driving footage in there as well. This review may sound sponsored. It’s not. I paid for it entirely and received nothing from the company. I almost never post reviews on here. If you’re a parent trying to find something decent that isn’t a beat-up facebook marketplace bike like I was, i recommend it!”
“We ordered and received the bike. After we put it together it ran for about an hour and then quit. Throttle cable and electric start was damaged during shipping. Called the seller and after several weeks of back and forth with no real support besides sending us a new cable. Seller sent me to the manufacturer who was HORRIBLE. They told us that because of the price of the bike, they would email us how to fix if possible but there was no way to have someone come look at the bike and repair. It was up to us to fix ourselves. They do not take phone calls so you have to email only! Do not buy this unless you want to fix it all on your own.”

Customer Reviews
“Box arrived damaged. There were a few holes in the Box. During assembly, I discovered that one of the barrel nuts was missing for the handlebars. A quick trip to Lowe’s, solved that problem. Overall I would recommend that you have some sort of mechanical ability during assembly. Unlike others, we have not had a problem with the chain falling off. This may be attributed to correct assembly and tension on the chain. My 8-year-old boy absolutely loves this machine. And this father is 100% happy with the purchase. Will likely purchase another for my daughter LOL.”
“I have to say that it was the worst gift I have ever given my son. Problems with starting and ignition, the chain keeps coming off, no matter the adjustment, and a few months ago it started leaking fuel, less than a year after having it and with just a few uses due to all the previous problems.”

Complete Buying Guide for 2 Stroke Dirt Bike
Essential Factors We Consider
When evaluating the best 2 stroke dirt bike options, we prioritize engine reliability, ease of maintenance, and suitability for target riders. Two-stroke engines offer distinctive power characteristics that appeal to certain riding styles, though they require regular maintenance due to their simpler combustion cycle.
Budget Planning
Entry-level 2-stroke dirt bikes typically range from $300-$600, while higher-performance models can exceed $1,000. Consider not just the initial purchase price but also ongoing costs like oil mixing, spark plugs, and potential repairs when budgeting for your dirt bike investment.
Final Thoughts
Two-stroke dirt bikes deliver thrilling performance for riders who appreciate their unique powerband and lighter weight. While modern four-strokes have gained popularity, many enthusiasts still prefer the immediate throttle response and simplicity of two-stroke engines, especially for trail riding and racing applications.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What makes a 2 stroke dirt bike different from other types?
A: Two-stroke dirt bikes burn oil mixed with fuel in each combustion cycle, producing that distinctive power delivery and lighter weight. They typically have fewer moving parts than four-strokes, making them simpler to maintain but requiring more frequent servicing.
Q: Are 2 stroke dirt bikes suitable for beginners?
A: Yes, many 2 stroke dirt bikes are designed specifically for beginners, especially in the 50cc range. These smaller displacement models provide manageable power that allows new riders to develop skills safely while learning proper technique.
Q: How much maintenance do 2 stroke dirt bikes require?
A: Two-stroke engines need regular maintenance including daily oil mixing, periodic spark plug replacement, air filter cleaning, and occasional carburetor adjustments. The exact frequency depends on usage intensity and environmental conditions.
Q: Can adults ride 2 stroke dirt bikes designed for kids?
A: While possible, adult riders should consider larger displacement models designed for their weight and skill level. Smaller 50cc-52cc bikes may lack sufficient power and stability for larger adults, potentially compromising safety and enjoyment.
Q: What’s the advantage of choosing a 2 stroke over a 4 stroke?
A: Two-stroke engines generally weigh less, produce more power per cubic centimeter, and have fewer complex parts. They also typically cost less initially, though they may require more frequent maintenance and produce slightly more emissions.
Finding the right best 2 stroke dirt bike comes down to matching your specific needs with available options. Whether you’re looking for an affordable entry point into off-road riding or seeking a high-performance machine for serious trail exploration, understanding the differences between models helps ensure you make the smartest choice for your riding goals and budget. Remember to consider not just the initial purchase price but also long-term ownership costs when making your decision.
