This has pneumatic tires and can be ridden off-road on grass which means it is also great on rough sidewalks. It is also very fast. I am 165 lbs., 5 ft 10 in tall and can ride no problem, it is very sturdy. Kids also love riding it. I don’t understand the complaint about hurting ankles, these are rubber caps that come with it to out on the rear axles to protect you, then you just learn quickly how to pedal without striking the scooter. Brakes work well but must be carefully set up or won’t work. You need to read instructions and know how to adjust brakes or watch a YouTube video. There is no other scooter in the market in this class anymore. This is the kind they had when I was a child, but even better! I’m a mechanical engineer and I seriously approve of the design. If you have a bike, get one of these too for some variety of exercise and fun! Bought to keep up with my daughter when we took off her training wheels but can still help her over curbs and getting started while on my scooter. Customer Review: “This was a great purchase for my son. Obviously, the manufacturer listened to all of the reviews that complained about the scooter arriving scratched or missing parts. Mine arrived packaged like it was bomb proof. It takes a few minutes to get everything unpacked and ready for assembly. It took me about 30 minutes to get it all together and adjusted. I am very mechanically inclined and have a ton of tools so for me this was nothing, but if you are not as confident you may wish to have someone else assemble it for you. Basically, you put on the handle bars, the wheels, and hook up the brakes and adjust them. The wheels take about 30 seconds each. I had one wheel that had the conventional keeper clips on it, and the other wheel came with plastic keeper bushings. The instructions did not reference this but a little studying and intuition told me that the conventional clips were to be used on the front wheel and the plastic keeper bushings fit into recesses in the rear wheel frame mounting surfaces. Remember that. Adjusting bicycle style brakes can be a real pain but these went pretty good. I suggest squeezing the calipers snug to the rim and taking up as much slack as possible with the cable pinch-bolt that is on the caliper itself first, and then using the adjuster screw at the lever for the final adjustment. My son can stop on a dime now. I am almost 300lbs and I took it for a spin around the cul-de-sac and it worked great. This should last a kid or normal sized adult a lot of years. My son is 6 and he is just big enough to use it. I wouldn’t suggest it for much younger than that. The handle bars adjust up and down about 4 inches or so. Instructions are pretty good and can talk you through most of the assembly. For the price, you cannot get a better machine on the market. Very pleased.”

It handles rough terrain well (you can see from the photo), though like many scooters, it does get stuck on some larger bumps – even with wheels that are a bit bigger than the Razor brand. Customer Review: “I’m 47 and I’ve wanted a scooter since my kids got theirs back in the early 2000s. I bought this as a gift for someone else, but even though it was listed as prime, it took over a week to come, so i had to go out and buy a different scooter for her. Since I also just celebrated a birthday, I kept this for myself when it finally arrived. I’m glad I did because my stunted childhood dreams came true! It’s been cold and rainy here but I’ve been riding this baby around my house and it’s every bit as fun as I hoped it would be. I cannot wait to get outside with it! It’s very sturdy and the second height level is perfect for my 5’3 frame. Folding it seems tricky at first, but I found a great YouTube video titled Lascoota Teen Scooter that shows how to pull up while pushing up on the red folding button. Now it’s super easy to fold and unfold. Some weird black plastic piece fell out from where it folds and I’ve emailed the company about it, but so far it doesn’t seem to affect the scooter usage. Replacement parts are readily available, and look pretty inexpensive, from the Lascoota website. Testing the brake inside at low speed, it seems really responsive. The little kickstand is awesome because at my age I’m just so above dumping my $70 scooter on its side in the grass. I’m not planning on doing any rad tricks, and I’m not into getting tiny wheels stuck in cracks, so the larger wheels on this are fabulous because they give such a smooth ride. I’m mostly looking forward to embarrassing my youngest son as I ride around the neighborhood on my super cool pink scooter. I ordered a white helmet to go with this and I’m totally gonna sticker the heck out of it to complete the bad mom effect.”
