Customer Reviews
Customer Review: First of all lets deal with the weight. In the measurements the listing says the item weights 33 grams and the folded size is 6.18 x 3.98 x 2.09 inches. 33 grams? No way. Or no weigh. The actual tool set…the orange part….weighs pretty close to 9 ounces. About par for the course for these foldable tools. Can you get lighter ones? Sure. But they don’t really have any useful “tools” included. So the main tool does not weigh 33 grams. I dunno what those measurements are supposed to describe. The tool with all of the pieces and parts extended? Well it measures, folded up like you would carry it on your bike, 3 3/8 inches. Again about par for the course. And it is rather compact – should easily fit into whatever is on your bike to carry tools. I have no idea what that silly bone wrench is used for. I have three bikes. None of them have any fitting that this tool could tighten or loosen. It is pretty much useless for bike repairs. Maybe if you have a vintage Huffy or WalMart special you could find a bolt to tighten with the bone wrench. So you may as well ignore that. OK so now the actual tool. The orange thingie. Dang it is pretty useful! Plenty of actual usable “tools”. Would I use this thing in the shop to work on my bike? No way. I just don’t think the quality is there. It would probably not handle that day in and day out use. It is not a professional bike tool. But as a take-along tool? Awesome. Awesome even considering the weight. Considering the price? Even better. If you are in the market for a multi-tool I would encourage you to check this one out. I was gonna nick it one star for the overly optimistic weight claim. But that seems unfair. I don’t think the seller is trying to mislead us. They are just confused about weight. So a full five stars.
Customer Review: I’m not a mechanic or very mechanically inclined. There’s a lot of stuff on e-bikes that can come loose when you’re riding around. This unit is the best I’ve seen. Will it cover everything? Probably not because these foreign made bikes use a lot of different size fasteners. This unit (actually two pieces) will cover a lot and is small enough to lug around. Well made. Larger tools are easier to use at home but this is real good for on-the-road purposes.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This tool has everything I could need. I was in a pinch as my seat suddenly came off while riding. When I got back home, I had to disassemble the entire seat post. I took every part off and laid them on the table. This was the only tool I needed. From hex keys, to Philips/flatheads, I was not lacking. I was surprised by the sturdiness of the tool. I’ve had cheap hex key multi-tools from Lowes before that broke after a single use; but this tool allowed me to apply as much torque (tightened by hand) at whatever funky angle required without breaking. The only downside is the difficulty to handle while torquing a bolt with the tool; but it’s expected with a multitool like this. It’s surprisingly small and powerful. Would buy again.
Customer Review: Cheap and decent. I would say that the name brand one that I had that was 3x the price was better, but this one is pretty good for $10.

Customer Reviews
Customer Review: This thing is perfect size, I was worried about getting one with more functions and tools due to the size however they really did pack it all in! This multitool has some weight to it but not in a bad way, it literally fits in my tiny pouch along with my bike pump, and other miscellaneous items, that’s how small it is! Thankfully I haven’t had to use it on the trail yet but I love all the different size hex screwdrivers because my bike has a lot of different sizes. It also has a chain breaker which I also have not had to use. This tool is easy to use and heavy duty and should last me a long long time!
Customer Review: Incredibly well made; entirely metal so won’t break like other models made with plastic parts. Yeah this is a “buy it for life” multitool. I also find it inexpensive for its quality.

Complete Buying Guide for Best Bike Multi-Tools
Essential Factors We Consider
When choosing the best bike multi-tool, we look at several key factors. First, the range and quality of tools included are paramount. We want to see common hex sizes (2mm to 8mm), Philips and flathead screwdrivers, and sometimes Torx bits for modern bikes. Durability is also crucial; we prefer tools made from hardened steel that won’t strip easily or break under pressure. Portability and ergonomics play a big role too – a tool should be compact enough to carry without inconvenience but also comfortable to use, even in challenging conditions. Finally, we consider added features like chain cutters or spoke wrenches, which can be lifesavers on the road.
Budget Planning
Bike multi-tools can range from budget-friendly options under $15 to premium tools costing $50 or more. For casual riders, a simple, well-made tool with essential functions will suffice. If you’re a regular cyclist or tackle more complex repairs, investing in a more robust and feature-rich tool is advisable. Remember that while price is a factor, durability and functionality should be your primary concerns. A slightly more expensive tool that lasts longer and performs better offers better long-term value.
Final Thoughts
Selecting the right bike multi-tool depends on your riding style and needs. For basic emergency repairs, a compact 10-in-1 or 12-in-1 tool might be perfect. For those who are more hands-on with their bike maintenance or go on longer adventures, a tool with more functions, like the Crankbrothers M19, could be a better fit. No matter your choice, carrying a reliable multi-tool is a non-negotiable for any cyclist wanting peace of mind on their journeys.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What are the most important tools to have on a bike multi-tool?
A: The most critical tools are usually the hex (Allen) keys, typically in sizes 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, and 8mm. Philips and flathead screwdrivers are also very common. For more advanced needs, a chain tool and Torx bits (like T25) are highly beneficial.
Q: How do I choose between a compact multi-tool and a larger one with more functions?
A: Consider your riding habits. If you primarily do short rides and need tools for minor emergencies, a compact tool is ideal. For longer rides, touring, or if you frequently perform your own bike maintenance, a larger, more comprehensive tool will be more suitable.
Q: Is a chain cutter essential on a bike multi-tool?
A: A chain cutter is highly recommended, especially for cyclists who ride far from home or in remote areas. A broken chain is a common issue that a chain cutter on your multi-tool can help you fix roadside, saving your ride.
Q: How important is the material of a bike multi-tool?
A: The material is very important for durability. Tools made from hardened steel, like CrV (Chrome Vanadium), are more resistant to wear, rust, and bending, ensuring they perform reliably over time. Avoid tools made from soft or low-quality metal.
